Cyber Cafe Cannes

I've been trying to finish reading "The Shop on Main Street" at a cafe overlooking the Mediterrean. The story is good for what basic framework of a plot I can grasp. Much has been lost in the translation and the translator uses slang from an array of time periods and cultures. The translator leaves many cultural symbols to be assumed. In Paris I'm taking a French Novels class that focuses on translations.

Jamie has a card adapter that I'm going to use to recover the pictures I almost lost of London, hopefully it will work. If not - the card will be promptly reformatted and I'll start taking digital pictures again. On that note, I've dusted off the Canon AE-1. As far as 35MM pictures go, I'm focusing on rather dull/still subjects contrasted with the opportune flight of a bird or passing of a bicycler.

Last night we went to Morrison's Lounge where there was a great live DJ. He played the Knife and "Everybody Dance Now" which was an exciting appropriation of what I expected European Discos to play. I had my first red beer which was enjoyable, like a cider only thicker.
